Summer Service Immersion Trip

A service immersion trip is a combination of doing service work for our brothers and sisters in need, sharing prayer and discussing Catholic Social Teachings, learning more about our community and parish all while having a fun and building community among peers and adults!

In 2014, our parish high school youth stayed home to serve the greater Dubuque and our parish community. For three days, July 23rd to 25th, we served the following organizations: Project Concern; St. Vincent de Paul Society Warehouse; Manessah and Salvia Houses; Dubuque Rescue Mission Garden; St. Patrick Church Wednesday Night Meal Program; Camp Albrecht Acres; and parish work at Holy Trinity and Holy Ghost's Paraclete Hall. Additionally, we lived in community for two nights by staying at Holy Trinity's rectory by sharing meals and faith sharing/prayer experiences together.

Youth enjoyed this experience so much, we plan to serve the greater Dubuque and parish communities summer 2015! Dates to be announced winter 2014.
